About me

As a professionally qualified, experienced and registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I am passionate about helping my clients.  I have worked in many psycho-therapeutic settings including the NHS and the Charity Sector.

My experience is fairly broad, I have helped people who have difficulties with stress, anxiety, low mood, depression, medical illness, low levels of confidence /low self-esteem, social anxiety, body image anxiety, eating disorders, childhood issues, bullying, trauma, loss, life transitions, negative thoughts, phobias, personality disorders, and general health/well-being. I'm particularly experienced and interested in areas of fertility and infertility.

Why should I see a therapist?

Sometimes life can hurl difficulties our way and it can leave us feeling depleted, confused and detached. Therapy can help to restore and reconnect by helping us to explore and gain insight and acceptance.

Counselling and Psychotherapy is a safe conversation, where you can speak freely about what is troubling you. The therapeutic process provides you with the security that you no longer have to struggle on and carry the load by yourself.

How I can help you

My way of working would comprise of psychodynamic, and integrative approaches. We would work with both conscious and unconscious aspects of feelings and behaviour, by exploring emotional thoughts and states. This aids us to understand ourselves better and others by making meaningful connections/links between the past and the present. It also aids us to understand and resolve what may be concerning us.

Duration of Therapy

I offer both short-term (for eg: approx. 10 weeks) and open-ended therapy (longer-term) depending on what is required.

Those that look outside dream, those that look inside awaken." — C.G. Jung
