About me
Life can feel heavy at times. You may be experiencing stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or a sense of feeling disconnected from yourself. Perhaps you’re carrying something from the past that you’d like to understand more deeply, or you’re seeking clarity and direction in the present. Whatever brings you here, you don’t have to face it alone.
I am a qualified member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), offering a safe, welcoming and compassionate space where you can feel genuinely heard and understood. I work from the belief that, with the right support, we all have the capacity to grow, heal, and move towards greater self-awareness and fulfilment.
My practice is pluralistic and humanistic, drawing primarily on person-centred counselling. This means our work together is guided by you, at your pace, and in a way that feels right for you. I will walk alongside you as we explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences, helping you make sense of what may be happening in your life, both past and present.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship, built on trust, empathy and authenticity. I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to bring whatever you need. Whether you are looking for open ended reflection or a more focused, goal oriented approach, we can shape our sessions to suit your needs. Where appropriate, I can also integrate coaching techniques to support practical, results focused work. We will regularly review our work together to ensure that therapy continues to feel supportive, relevant and meaningful.
I bring an awareness of difference and intersectionality to my practice, and I am committed to offering inclusive, sensitive support around identity, neurodiversity, gender, sexuality, ethnicity and cultural heritage.
Alongside my private practice, I work within a medical setting, providing therapeutic support for clinical staff. This has given me insight into the pressures, emotional demands and potential for burnout that can accompany caring roles, and I offer a space to pause, reflect and process these experiences with compassion.
Reaching out for support can feel daunting, but it is also a courageous and hopeful step. I offer a free, no obligation 30 minute telephone consultation, giving us an opportunity to discuss what has brought you to therapy and whether we might be a good fit.
I aim to respond to all enquiries within 24 hours (please check your junk or spam folder if you do not see a reply).
You are warmly invited to get in touch by email or phone to take that first step towards the support you seek.
Training, qualifications & experience
My therapeutic experience includes working within 2 counselling agencies. One was for therapeutic support for survivors of domestic abuse and the other, a men's mental health therapy centre. I also worked in a mental health team within the NHS, prior to establishing my private practice. Within my practice, I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, workplace stress, family difficulties, long-term illness, bereavement, relationship breakdowns, and times of uncertainty or questioning direction in life.
I have worked with clients affected by domestic abuse, addiction, family difficulties, and other forms of trauma, offering a safe and sensitive space to explore and process these experiences at their own pace.
In addition, I have experience coaching neurodivergent young adults (ages 16–24), supporting them to build confidence, develop self-awareness, and cultivate practical strategies for personal growth.
I have worked with clients affected by racist trauma, forced marriage, cultural identity and diaspora issues, and the intergenerational impact of immigration. I bring a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed approach to all my work, with a commitment to helping clients feel seen, understood, and empowered.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
