About me
Hello and welcome.
Fiona Croston - UKCP Accredited Psychotherapist | RTT Practitioner
Helping you understand what's holding you back so you can move forward with greater confidence, clarity and emotional freedom.
Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you've been carrying things on your own for a long time. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or struggling with difficulties in your relationships. Perhaps you've experienced trauma, loss or significant life changes. Or maybe you simply have a sense that something isn't quite right, even though you can't fully explain why.
Whatever brings you here, you don't have to face it alone.
I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life and begin to make sense of your experiences. Together, we can explore the difficulties you are facing, understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and work towards meaningful and lasting change.
How Therapy Can Help
Sometimes we develop ways of coping that were necessary at one point in our lives but no longer serve us. We may find ourselves repeating the same patterns in relationships, struggling with low self-worth, feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, or reacting in ways we don't fully understand.
Therapy offers the opportunity to slow down, reflect and gain a deeper understanding of yourself. Through this process, many people experience greater self-awareness, improved emotional wellbeing, healthier relationships and increased confidence in navigating life's challenges.
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing and change. My role is to provide a safe and supportive therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood and accepted.
My Approach
I am a UKCP Accredited Psychotherapist and a qualified Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Practitioner.
My psychotherapy training is rooted in Transactional Analysis, a powerful and accessible approach that helps us understand how our early experiences shape the way we think, feel and relate to others. It can provide valuable insight into recurring patterns, beliefs and behaviours, helping us develop greater choice and freedom in our lives.
Alongside psychotherapy, I also offer RTT, which combines therapeutic approaches with hypnosis to help access and work with unconscious beliefs and patterns. For many clients, this can be a helpful way of supporting change in specific areas such as confidence, anxiety, self-esteem, phobias and emotional blocks.
By integrating these approaches, I am able to tailor therapy to your individual needs. Some clients benefit from deeper exploratory psychotherapy, while others prefer a more focused approach. Together, we will find a way of working that feels right for you.
I support adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including:
- Anxiety and panic
- Depression and low mood
- Trauma and PTSD
- Childhood trauma and abuse
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Relationship difficulties

If you're considering therapy, I would be pleased to hear from you.
You don't need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Sometimes the first conversation is simply the beginning of understanding what you need and how therapy might help.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
For me and my work, I believe it is not usually about labelling a specific issue. It is often about how we feel about ourselves; we might not feel "good enough" or we feel "different" or maybe we feel that love, money or success is not available to us and that somehow we are "not deserving." These three themes are so often a cause for many of the underlying issues listed above.
I work holistically with the person.
