Counselling Psychologist & Psychotherapist

About me

I see you holistically, looking beyond the individual to the whole picture, including family dynamics, friendships, and the wider systems you are part of. My approach is creative and I draw from various techniques tailored to your specific needs.

I provide short- and long-term trauma-informed therapy for children (from age 10), adolescents, and adults to older adulthood.

More than managing your symptoms, therapy will be about understanding your unique story and supporting you in coping with life's challenges. Together, we will create a safe environment to explore your past experiences and difficult emotions, helping you reconnect with your authentic self and build a life that feels meaningful.

All are welcome.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am an experienced psychologist with over 10 years of practice. I work with people across the lifespan and have worked in varied contexts, including the private, public, and third sectors, and with multidisciplinary teams in the UK and Brazil.

I am Brazilian-born and London-based Counselling Psychologist and Gestalt Psychotherapist, and am a registered psychologist and psychotherapist in both countries.

My work is rooted in an integrative and trauma-informed approach. I focus on supporting adults, adolescents, children, and older adults through major life transitions, including traumatic experiences and relational challenges. Therapy should be a safe, reflective, and collaborative space for you.

I view every client holistically. This means that together we will explore your emotions, mind, and body as expressions of your unique self. Together, we will understand how these connect and integrate so you can live a more integrated, authentic life.

My main education and training include a Bachelor's in Psychology (PUC-Rio, Brazil), a Specialisation in Counselling Psychology and Gestalt-Psychotherapy (CGTSS, Brazil), and Master's in Forensic Psychology (Maastricht University, The Netherlands). I have additional training in working with Children and Young People, Trauma, and Neurodiversity. And I continue to update my skills through ongoing professional development, including attending regular professional meetings, courses and conferences.

If you feel that I may be a good fit to you or your child, reach out via email or text.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
