About me

Welcome to Copperbeech Counselling

I am an experienced, flexible & qualified counsellor &  psychotherapist, with an Msc in Pluralistic Counselling. This means the counselling will be tailored to your needs.

I provide a confidential, safe & professional space to work with you & whatever you choose to bring to counselling. The relationship with the client sits at the heart of my work.

I offer sessions during the day, evenings and weekends.

As well as working with the range of issues below,  I offer a specialist service that can support past birth trauma, pregnancy loss, anxiety during pregnancy & pre & post  termination of pregnancy support for individuals & couples.

My first session

When you contact me I will send you some information about my practice & a short counselling agreement that asks for some basic information about yourself. This can be returned digitally or brought to your first session.

The first session will be an exploration with you of what has brought you to counselling and what you might like to take away from being in therapy. We will always work together to meet your needs. This is an opportunity to see if we feel comfortable working together.

Who I work with

I work with couples & individuals both young people and adults, including older adults.

I offer counselling on-line via TEAMS, telephone or face to face at Popp Ins Therapy Centre in Crieff.

I adhere to the BACP ethical framework for good practice and also the BACP Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy. More information on these documents can be found on the BACP website.

I am registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners Office) & I have insurance for personal liability and professional indemnity

"The counselling not only helped me to process things but also to become more self aware and to be courageous enough to set boundaries where I had not done so before and to take major life steps." feedback from a Copper Beech Counselling client

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
