About me

Change happens, and can be really hard to manage. Especially in these times with so much going on in the world on top of what we experience in our individual lives. Sometimes one small or large extra event can topple our coping system and we just need somewhere to take it all.

We can find ourselves overwhelmed, barely coping, and just trying to get through each day. Or we may want to move forward into something new but find that some part of us is holding us back, not wanting us to grow into what's calling us into possibility.

Whether it's something new, something old, or something that wants to come into being, we could all do with somewhere to take it. Somewhere we can be met with understanding, curiosity, compassion and honesty. Somewhere we can talk out what is going on, find out what it might be being driven by and find ways of generating internal change which will, in turn, activate more possibility in our lives.

While being human is a universal experience, it is also uniquely individual and what comes easily for some people can, for others, be a worst nightmare come true.

Everyone needs something slightly different in therapy, and this can change over the course of the work as well. What brought you to seek help can sometimes be the catalyst to something larger asking to be experienced, healed, understood and/or released.

My training was integrative and so provides a wide range of tools, methods and approaches to draw on in finding the way that can work for you.

I offer a warm, empathic and compassionate space where you can share your experiences and explore what’s happening for you in a way you may not be able to do within your current life and relationships.

I like to work with what is emerging for you in the moment.

My training integrates concepts from Jungian, Gestalt, relational, psychodynamic, neuroscience, body psychotherapy and family systems theory.

It is also a Soulful approach, taking into account that we as human beings are not just our mind nor just our body nor just our emotions, but a soul as well which has it’s own calling.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
