About me
Hello, I’m Em. It sounds like you might be going through a tough time. If so, please know you’re not alone.
Therapy was a turning point for me and it’s my hope to offer you the same kind of support and guidance. I believe in creating a safe and understanding space where you can explore your feelings without judgment.
Choosing a therapist can feel overwhelming, but the most important thing is building a strong connection. I offer a warm, compassionate approach, tailored to your needs. Together, we can work through whatever challenges you’re facing
My aim
My role as your counsellor is to support you on your journey towards greater self-understanding. Together, we can explore your authentic self, improve your confidence, and find ways to make choices in your life that you are happy and comfortable with.
A significant part of my work focuses on loss and grief. I also offer support for low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, and confidence issues.
Loss can take many forms, such as the death of a loved one, a change in circumstances, or feeling disconnected from yourself. It might be that you're struggling with a specific loss, or that life just feels out of balance. Counselling can provide a safe space to process these experiences and move forward.
What I offer
I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore your worries in your own time and way. Whatever challenges you’re facing, I’m here to listen without judgment and offer support. I believe in understanding your experiences from your unique perspective. I will respect your choices and decisions, and if it is important to you, then it is important to me too.
Appointments
I understand that life can be hectic, so I offer flexible appointment times to fit around you. Whether it’s during the day or evening, I’m here to provide the support you need. Finding time for therapy can be challenging, but I believe it’s important to prioritise your well-being. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to find an appointment that suits you.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
