About me

Do you feel that past events and other people have a negative impact on your emotions? Are they holding you back? Have you tried to change, but find you can’t on your own? Has a health care professional given you a diagnosis, or have you tried to diagnose yourself? Has all this left you asking questions? I’ve answered ‘yes’ to all these questions myself. Therefore, I know there is always hope. If you want to make changes in your life, I can help you – and show you. This can give you a new outlook on life - more self-awareness and the ability to handle your emotions in a happier, healthier way. I am a qualified, insured and DBS checked Psychotherapist.

My aim is to help you in as few sessions as possible. Each individual is unique, this is your life, and you need to live it your way. But we all need help sometimes. My client's ages have ranged from 12-83 years old.

What I can help with?

Addictions, Anger management, Anxiety, Depression, Loss, Obsessions, OCD, Self esteem, Self-harm, Stress, Substance Dependency, phobias.

Training, qualifications & experience

With extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Focused approaches, I bring a comprehensive skill set to support clients facing a wide range of challenges. My experience includes working with individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence, as well as those navigating the complexities of mental illness, including OCD, anxiety, and depression. I have a particular passion for supporting neurodiverse clients and those under 18, understanding the unique perspectives and needs they bring to therapy. My holistic approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, ensuring that each client receives tailored, empathetic care designed to foster healing, resilience, and personal growth.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
