About me

I am a fully qualified Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist based in Redruth, Cornwall. I am fully Registered (MBACP) with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists, and abide by their Code of Ethics which ensures that we will be working safely together.

I am passionate about providing support through difficult times, mental health challenges and journeys of self-discovery. I promise to provide you a safe, confidential and compassionate space to explore whatever is going on for you.

I am trained as a Person-Centred therapist, however, I also have experience in integrating various modalities such as Eco therapy, Gestalt therapy, Transactional Analysis and Creative therapeutic therapy intertwined within Person-Centred therapy. I have creative tools (Art supplies) to use if you so wish and can also offer walking and talking therapy if this suits you.

If you're sensitive to sensory overwhelm, I want you to know that I can adapt the therapy space to help make your experience as comfortable and accommodating as you need. This might include adjusting lighting, minimising background noise, or offering sensory tools—whatever helps you feel safe and supported. You're welcome to let me know what supports work best for you. Together, we can shape the space in a way that honours your sensory needs

My practice responds to each individual client and together we will discover what approach best suits you. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, autism, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), BPD, childhood trauma, self-harm, grief, sexuality, domestic violence, suicide ideation, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), sexual trauma, relationships, low self-esteem, loss of identity, Neurdivergent Burnout, front line NHS burnout, motherhood and more. I am a Neurodivergent affirming therapist and LGBTQ+ friendly.

Ultimately, I am here to listen to anything that you wish to explore.

Whilst based in Cornwall I am able to work on a national level, either online or over the telephone.

Feel free to contact me to book in either a face to face, online or phone counselling session.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Wheelchair user access
Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.

The therapy room is upstairs in the building. However, it does have a stair lift if needed. There is also a wheelchair ramp to access the building.
