About me
Hello, my name is Ellie. I’m a fully qualified integrative counsellor registered with the BACP. I offer face-to-face and online/telephone sessions for children, young people and adults.
Children and young people's sessions can be done through play based activities, for example: colouring, writing, drawing, Lego or Playdoh. Session times can also be reduced if this will support a child or young person to attend.
I have experience working with people facing various issues including depression, anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, addiction, family issues, relationship issues, neurodiversity, sexual assault and more.
I have particular experience supporting children and young people who are struggling with anger issues, eating issues, neurodiversity challenges, anxiety, low mood and parental issues.
I offer services in Glasgow City Centre, Motherwell and Condorrat, Cumbernauld.
There is also a Qualified Therapy Dog, Linda, who can partake in the sessions or not, depending on your preference. This is available in Condorrat, Cumbernauld only.
Reaching out for support can be the hardest step, as it can be challenging to find the words to say how we are feeling or what we are thinking. Challenges can get in the way of our everyday life and it can become overwhelming trying to manage this on our own. I am here to create a calm and safe space for individuals to explore their thoughts and feelings. Whether this is done through conversation or a creative approach (writing, drawing, colouring), I want the client to feel supported each step of the way.
As an integrative counsellor, I work in a way that suits you. This could be a person centred approach, where I walk alongside you and let you lead in what works best for you. It may be more CBT based, where we look at how your thoughts, emotions and behaviours are linked together. Or lastly we take a Psychodynamic approach looking at how things in childhood are affecting life currently. Sometimes we may combine all three approaches to tailor the support to best suit your needs. Regardless of the approach/es that are used, I aim to offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore any issues currently being faced, at a pace that feels comfortable for you. While working together, my aim would be to build a trusting therapeutic relationship, so you are able to feel held in moments of pain as well as moments of joy.
If you feel you’d like to begin working together and would like more information, I offer a free 15 minute introduction call.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
