About us

Welcome to Elevate Wellbeing Therapy Service

If you’ve never quite felt like you fit in, perhaps you’ve just not found the right space yet…

Have you ever felt as though you're holding everything together for everyone else, while quietly struggling yourself? Perhaps you're feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, carrying the impact of difficult life experiences, stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, or carrying burdens that have become too heavy to manage alone.

You may be navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, grief, low self-esteem, burnout, or simply feeling disconnected from yourself and unsure of who you are beneath the demands of everyday life.

I'm Amy, a qualified counsellor and founder of Elevate Wellbeing. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly, explore your experiences, and begin to make sense of what is happening in your life.

As a neurodivergent-affirming counsellor, I welcome autistic and ADHD individuals, as well as those who are exploring or questioning their neurodivergence. Together, we can explore your experiences in a way that honours and respects your unique way of being.

I use an integrative approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic methods to suit your unique needs. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counselling, so we will work together to find what feels most helpful for you. Together, we create a space where there is no pressure to be anything other than yourself.

I am passionate about creating a supportive and collaborative therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood and accepted. I believe counselling is about more than simply managing symptoms. It is about understanding yourself more deeply, recognising your strengths, making sense of your experiences, and finding a way forward that feels authentic and meaningful to you.

Every therapeutic journey is unique. Whether you feel stuck, overwhelmed, ready for change, or simply want space to reflect, I’ll walk alongside you at your pace. You don’t have to face things alone.

It’s important that you feel comfortable and supported, which is why finding the right fit between client and counsellor is so essential. I therefore offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation, with no pressure to commit. It's simply a chance for you to ask questions, get a feel for how I work, and decide whether counselling feels right for you.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) & committed to providing professional and ethical support.

Sessions are available in person at Sedgefield (TS21) or Hartlepool (TS26) & online UK wide.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have experience working with children, young people and adults, providing counselling and emotional support across a variety of settings. My experience includes working within private counselling services, educational settings, bereavement support services and charitable organisations, supporting individuals through a wide range of emotional, relational and life challenges.

In addition to my counselling work, I have experience within Human Resources and workplace wellbeing, giving me an understanding of the impact that stress, burnout, workplace pressures and life demands can have on emotional wellbeing. This allows me to bring a broader perspective to the personal and professional challenges that many people face.

I have experience supporting individuals with a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, grief and loss, trauma, attachment difficulties, PTSD, relationship challenges, low self-esteem, identity and self-discovery, neurodivergence, domestic abuse, and life transitions.

Member organisations *

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

We have verified that at least one professional at this organisation is registered with the relevant professional body.
