About me
I have been working as a Drama & Movement Therapist since 2003. I qualified with an MA from the Central School of Speech and Drama. i also have an MSc in Social Anthropology for LSE. Since qualifying as a Drama &Movement Therapist, I have worked in special needs schools across London and Birmingham as a freelance therapist. I currently work at a school in London as a senior drama therapist and Clinical Supervisor.
My work is very much underpinned by Jungian theory and philosophy and Depth Psychology. I tailor my sessions according to the requirements of the person, and I'm highly skilled in using creative and body based approaches to work with pre verbal trauma or trauma that may be difficult to talk about. I have trained in the CATT (Children's' Accelerated Trauma Treatment) model so can work with PTSD symptoms in individuals, both adult and young people.
Sometimes, working with an issue through the metaphor can elicit greater insight and transformation than using words.
