About me
I am an experienced clinician having worked in the mental health sector for many years, and in private practice. I am currently in private practice with individuals, and alongside other organisations, as an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor. This is not a job to me it is my vocation.
I have enjoyed working with many people, helping them in real terms in the following ways; to understand themselves and others better, to cope with loss and bereavement, to cope with work and relationship issues, to discover more meaningful ways of understanding situations and themselves. I help people who are looking to just generally feel better as well as those who wish to make decisions about the future, or to understand the past. I can offer medium term supportive therapy through difficult situations. I help can people to understand what life is about for themselves, I can work long term and short term, sometimes you might want a single session, or a single session and a follow-up session. There are very few mental health situations that we cannot work collaboratively on since, more than most I have had the privilege of working with people in in-patient settings, close supervision settings, acute admission settings, day hospital, community, client home, with client families, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, or working alone, online or on the telephone.
You don't have to stay out there in the cold wondering. Come in and let's work together to help you to feel better. It might be that you work on one issue take a break, then return later to manage a different issue. I am YOUR therapist, your resource.
There are many areas that I help people with towards good outcome, but the ones that I am most successful with are anxiety, work issues, stress, panic, improving understanding, communication, relationships, loss, regaining hope. I have helped Christians who have got stuck, and are searching for meaning. Race related issues.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
