About me

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile - choosing a Counsellor can seem daunting, but you've got this far!

By offering you the opportunity to process things at your own pace, in a confidential, non-judgmental and respectful environment, I hope we can work together to enable you to come to a better understanding of yourself, with an opportunity to explore where you fit in your world and to find peace within it.

I am a qualified accredited Counsellor,  who uses a psychodynamic model of counselling - this means I not only look at what is happening in the here and now, but also take into account childhood experiences that continue to impact you into adulthood. This is relevant to couples counselling as well one-to-one, as we bring our whole historic selves into a relationship!

I also offer one-to-one 90-minute creative or collage therapy. where you will discover how working with collage or abstract painting can empower you to visually express and explore your free child. By letting go of your own expectations and perfectionisms, you can experience the joy of colour, creativity and spontaneity, without having to have any artistic skills whatsoever!

I can also help people identify opportunities and goals in their life for personal improvement and growth.

HOW TO GET STARTED:

  • You can email me first, or just jump straight in and call me. If I'm unable to get to the phone, leave me a message and I will ring you back as soon as possible.
  • We can have an initial chat where we can talk briefly about what you are looking for, and if you feel you want to go ahead, I will email you a self-referral form.
  • Your counselling will then be arranged to fit your availability and will move at a pace you are comfortable with. What you talk about will be led by you, and you will not be forced to work on something that you are not comfortable discussing.

Couples Counselling

As couples, we bring our whole selves into the mix and somehow expect a magical meeting of minds! The focus of couples counselling is the 'relationship' - how it has evolved over time, what has come in that needs to go; what has gone that needs to come back!
Relationship counselling looks at your individual influences from childhood, helps you to gain self-awareness together to increase mutual understanding as to how you convey your needs , and uses tools to help you both find effective and healthy ways to communicate.
