About me
Hello, and welcome to Chapter You Counselling.
Welcome to Chapter You Counselling.
My name is Dawn, and I offer integrative counselling in Oxfordshire and online. I work with children aged 11+, young people, adults, couples, and families who may be experiencing emotional, behavioural, or relationship challenges.
I am an experienced integrative therapist, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to support each client’s individual needs. My work is rooted in a person-centred approach, providing a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences at a pace that feels right for you. Where appropriate, I also integrate approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), supporting clients to understand unhelpful patterns, develop coping strategies, and strengthen emotional wellbeing.
Relationship and Couples Counselling
Alongside individual counselling, I work with couples and individuals who are experiencing challenges within their relationships. Relationship difficulties can impact emotional wellbeing, self-esteem, communication, and family life. Couples counselling offers a supportive space to explore patterns of interaction, improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen emotional connection.
Relationship therapy can be helpful for couples navigating conflict, emotional distance, life transitions, parenting pressures, or changes in their relationship. I also support individuals who may be struggling with relationship difficulties, separation, or recurring relational patterns, helping them gain insight and develop healthier ways of relating to themselves and others.
Couples and relationship counselling sessions are available in Oxfordshire and online, offering flexibility and accessibility.
Counselling for Children, Young People and Families
Seeking counselling for a child or young person can feel like a significant step, often after a period of concern or challenge. It’s completely normal to feel unsure about what counselling involves or whether it will help.
To support you in making an informed decision, I offer a free, no-obligation introductory call. This gives you the opportunity to share what’s been happening, ask questions, and explore whether counselling feels like the right fit. Teenagers are very welcome to join the call and ask questions themselves.
I take a flexible and collaborative approach, adapting my therapeutic style to meet each young person’s individual needs.
Family Coaching and NVR Support
Family life can sometimes feel exhausting, particularly when communication has broken down or a child's behaviour feels challenging or aggressive.
As a family coach, I support parents and careers to strengthen relationships, reduce conflict, and create a calmer, more connected home environment. My work is rooted in Non violent resistance (NVR) principles helping families rebuild connection, increase parental confidence and presence. The focus is not on blame, but on creating positive and lasting change within family relationships.
Adult Counselling in Oxfordshire and Online
I provide compassionate and confidential counselling for adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties. This includes anxiety, depression, low mood, stress, trauma, bereavement, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, OCD, and the impact of abuse.
Therapy offers a space to explore experiences safely, build emotional resilience, and develop practical tools to support mental health and wellbeing. Sessions are available in person in Oxfordshire and online.

Family Coaching -
As a Family Coach, my role is to help families strengthen their relationships, improve communication, and create a more supportive home environment. Parenting is rewarding, but its not easy. And, its really not easy if you have no support network to rely on or if you sometimes struggle to understand what's behind your child's challenging behaviour. Using a Connective Family framework, that is rooted within NVR principals where aggression is present, enables focus on re-establishing connections and building relations.
Through our actions and reactions as adults, we can change family dynamics and support our children to learn and grow.
Whether you’re facing specific issues or simply want to build a stronger family foundation, family coaching can offer valuable guidance and support
