About me

Welcome to Chapter You Counselling, a safe and supportive space for children, young people, and families.

Children and Young People - I understand that growing up can be challenging, and sometimes, all it takes is someone who truly listens to help navigate through it. I believe every child and young person deserves to be heard and understood. A compassionate, tailored approach is offered to meet the unique needs of your child, whether through talking therapies, creative therapies, or CBT-based methods. The goal isn’t to provide all the answers, but to empower young people, helping them build the tools and confidence to understand their emotions, overcome challenges, and thrive in all areas of life.

Connective Family NVR Coach - Parenting can feel overwhelming at times—whether you're struggling with a determined toddler, tackling screen time battles, or managing challenging and behaviours that can be aggressive.  Our therapeutic parenting approach focuses on fostering stronger relationships and connections with your child. We help you explore reactions and interactions, with methods rooted in the principles of NVR and informed by trauma and attachment theory, to enhance family dynamics and support your child’s growth.

About Me - With experience working within national charities (Childline. NSPCC and Cruse), and work within both primary and secondary schools, I have worked and supported children, young people and parents through challenging times.  Often when it feels no one else is listening or "gets me", its emotional, challenging and can feel lonely. My approach is integrative, this allows me to use a variety of therapeutic techniques to offer a truly unique and effective support experience, rooted in a Person-Centred approach.

Understanding Counselling - It’s completely normal to feel apprehensive about therapy. I am committed to making you feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. Confidentiality is a top priority, and I ensure that the well-being, beliefs, and opinions are always respected and valued.  I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely explore the challenges you're facing, and express your thoughts and feelings with complete openness.  Our first session is very much the opportunity to get to know one another.  Our first session lasts a little longer (I suggest allowing an hour). Thereafter sessions are 50 minutes.

How to find Chapter You - Based in the heart of Didcot, I offer a purpose-built therapeutic space with convenient parking, and sessions are available both in-person and online. I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute call so we can get to know each other and discuss how I can best support you. Your comfort and trust are my top priorities—there’s no obligation after the initial consultation.

Contact - Often in session, email is often quicker a way to make initial contact.  I will then call at a convenient time to introduce myself and offer a free introduction call.
