About me

Sometimes life can leave us feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected - from ourselves, from others, or from the life we hoped we'd be living. You may be struggling with anxiety, loss, relationships, self-doubt, trauma, a major life change, or perhaps just a sense that something doesn't feel quite right. Whatever brings you here, you don't have to figure it out alone.

I offer a warm, safe, and collaborative space where you can talk openly and be met with curiosity rather than judgement. I believe therapy is not about being fixed but about being understood. Together we can explore your experiences, make sense of patterns that may have developed over time, and discover new ways of relating to yourself and others.

My approach is integrative, relational and trauma-informed, drawing on attachment, psychodynamic and contemporary psychotherapy perspectives. At the heart of my work is the belief that meaningful change happens when we feel safe enough to explore ourselves honestly and supported enough to try something different.

Training, qualifications & experience

I'm Danielle, an experienced, MSc-qualified Integrative Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).

I run a private practice with convenient locations in Central London and Bromley, where I'm pleased to offer both in-person and secure online sessions with me, to suit your needs - whether for short-term focused work or deeper, long-term exploration.

My extensive experience includes several years working across diverse counselling services throughout London, providing a rich foundation for my practice and experience with a diverse range of concerns.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Additional information

If you are unsure about starting therapy, I offer a free 20-minute introductory call with no obligation. This gives you an opportunity to ask any questions, find out more about how I work, and get a sense of whether I am the right therapist for you. Finding someone you feel comfortable with is an important part of the therapeutic process.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and are charged at my standard rate of £85 per session.

I also offer a limited number of reduced-fee spaces for clients receiving PIP, Universal Credit or Jobseeker’s Allowance. These spaces are available for up to 12 sessions, depending on individual circumstances and availability.

If the cost of therapy feels like a barrier, please do still get in touch. We can explore what support may be available and discuss alternative options where appropriate. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to access meaningful support when they need it.

Further information

My first session:

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and it’s completely natural to feel uncertain, nervous, or unsure about where to start. My aim is to offer a warm, supportive, and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and be met with compassion, curiosity, and respect.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and to explore what has brought you to therapy at this point in your life. We can talk about any challenges you are facing, what you hope to gain from counselling, and whether my way of working feels right for you. There is no expectation to share everything straight away – we will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

We will also discuss the practical aspects of working together, including confidentiality, how sessions are structured, and the counselling agreement, so that you feel informed, safe and able to make a decision about whether you would like to continue.
