About me

  • Hi my name is Danielle and I am a qualified Individual & Couples counsellor and  also teacher of counselling.
  • I am a member of the BACP and abide by their code of ethics.
  • I believe that by providing a safe, non judgemental space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings, positive change can take place.
  • Couples Counselling or Relationship Counselling, is a talking therapy for two people who are in a intimate relationship.
It's aim is to provide a caring and supportive environment for you to find a way through any difficulties you may have.
Talking to someone who is impartial can help.

  • I had training from Women's Aid on Abuse. I have studied, in depth, the impact on Abuse and neglect during childhood, carrying over into our Adult lives.
  • The role of a couple's counsellor is to facilitate change by proving a safe, non judgemental space, for you to both explore your thoughts and difficulties.

I feel the relationship between client and counsellor is paramount, and for this reason I like to arrange a pre session. This is half an hour for us to meet and discuss the best approach and way forward.

I am the Director of Foundation counselling Ltd.  We offer Counselling training courses.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I received specialised training from Freshwinds covering counselling clients with life limiting illnesses, and end of life counselling.

I have supported a charity that provides support for clients with eating disorders and continue to be passionate about their work.

I have worked at 'Cruse'. In order to work for cruse I had to pass a course covering all areas of loss and bereavement.

I also received specialised training from Women's Aid for counselling abuse survivors.
