About me
You’ve left the relationship….so why does it still feel like it has a hold on you?
You understand what happened. You can see the patterns.
But you still find yourself thinking about them, questioning yourself, or struggling to fully let go.
You might still feel emotionally tied, even though you know the relationship wasn’t healthy.
Part of you may even wonder why it was so hard to leave, or why it still affects you now.
I’m a trauma-informed counsellor specialising in helping people recover from toxic and emotionally abusive relationships, especially when they feel stuck, even with awareness of what’s happened.
This is often where people find themselves when insight alone hasn’t been enough to create real change.
Does this feel familiar?
- You’ve left, but still feel emotionally connected or pulled back in
- You know the relationship wasn’t healthy, but still doubt yourself
- You replay the past, trying to make sense of what happened
- You worry you might repeat the same pattern in future relationships
- You notice deeper patterns in yourself, possibly linked to earlier experiences, but don’t know how to shift them
- You feel stuck; wanting to move forward, but unsure how to actually break free
How I can help
This work is about going beyond understanding and into real emotional change.
Together, we explore the deeper patterns that keep you stuck; whether from past relationships or earlier life experiences, so you can begin to shift them.
We work towards:
- Making sense of your experience, without minimising your pain
- Understanding why the emotional pull is still there
- Breaking repeating relationship patterns before they continue
- Rebuilding trust in yourself and your decisions
- Reducing overthinking, anxiety, and self-doubt
- Helping your nervous system settle so you can feel safer in yourself and future relationships
My approach
I’m a qualified psychodynamic counsellor (BSc, MSc, MBACP) with a trauma-informed and compassionate approach.
My work focuses on helping you understand how past experiences; whether from childhood or earlier relationships, can shape current emotional patterns, so that real and lasting change becomes possible.

Training, qualifications & experience
I’m a qualified psychodynamic counsellor (BSc, MSc, MBACP) with a background in Psychology and Health Psychology.
I’m particularly passionate about supporting mothers healing from toxic or abusive relationships, helping them break old patterns and create healthier, more fulfilling lives — for themselves and their children.
I understand how unhealed trauma can be passed down, and my approach focuses on both emotional healing and practical empowerment.
Alongside private practice, I have worked in an SEN school, supporting children with additional needs and their families. This experience deepened my understanding of the unique pressures mothers face and informs my compassionate, insight-driven approach.
I continue to develop professionally, staying up-to-date with the latest research and therapeutic approaches, so I can provide the best support for clients healing the past, reclaiming their confidence, and creating positive change in their relationships and families.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
