About me
Do you feel anxiety stops you from living more authentically in the present? Have you been finding it more difficult to motivate yourself to face the challenges of every day life? Has low self-esteem made it difficult to express your needs in relationships? You’re not alone. Therapy can provide a safe and supportive space to explore these feelings, to help understand their roots. Together, we can develop coping mechanisms and build resilience to move towards greater well-being.
I offer a non-judgmental space where you can make sense of your emotions, difficulties, and identity openly and honestly. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or seeking self-discovery, I'm here to support you with a validating approach. My practice creates a space where everyone feels welcome and safe to be themselves, and I'm committed to providing a culturally-sensitive and affirming experience for individuals from diverse backgrounds. I believe that therapy should be accessible and inclusive for everyone, and I'm particularly interested in providing a space for those from underrepresented groups, ensuring that their voices are heard and their specific needs are acknowledged and addressed with sensitivity and understanding.
With experience helping clients manage anxiety, depression, and build self-esteem, I draw from various therapeutic approaches to best suit your needs. Whether you're seeking short-term, focused therapy for specific challenges or a longer-term exploration of identity and personal growth, I'm here to support you on your journey.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process, where we work together to create a space of trust, empathy, and respect. My passion lies in empowering individuals to unlock their full potential and find their unique path to well-being.
Contact me for a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your concerns and see if we're a good fit. Taking that first step can be a difficult one, and it’s important you feel comfortable working with me as a therapist.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy and am a Psychotherapist and Counsellor, holding registration with the UKCP—a regulatory body overseeing counsellors and psychotherapists.
My experience spans diverse settings, both online and in person, offering support to individuals from various backgrounds navigating challenges like depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma.
I specialize in addressing the unique nature of each individual's struggles. You may be grappling with emotional injuries from the past, requiring gentle and careful exploration, or you may need to address challenges with current relationships, be it in the workplace or at home. Recognizing the distinctiveness of these difficulties, my approach is tailored to each person.
Collaboration is key, and together, we'll shape the direction of our sessions based on your needs and individual circumstances. I believe that therapy should be as unique as the individuals engaging in it.
Central to my practice is the belief that the relationship between us is paramount in providing support during challenging times. Establishing a warm and respectful connection is essential, emphasizing the significance of our therapeutic bond.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
