About me

About Me

Do you feel anxiety stops you from living more authentically in the present? Has low self-esteem made it difficult to express your needs in relationships or navigate challenges in your personal or professional life? Perhaps you’re struggling to understand who you are within the context of your identity, relationships, or culture. You’re not alone. Therapy can provide a safe, non-judgmental space to explore these feelings and uncover their roots. Together, we can make sense of what’s going on for you, develop healthier ways of coping, and move toward greater self-understanding and well-being.

I provide a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment where you can explore your emotions, difficulties, and identity openly. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, or a deeper sense of disconnection from yourself, I am here to help. My approach is grounded in understanding the whole person—you as an individual with a unique history, shaped by your relationships, culture, and lived experiences. I offer a culturally sensitive and affirming space where individuals from all backgrounds feel welcome and valued. I am particularly committed to supporting those from underrepresented groups, ensuring their voices are heard, and their experiences are approached with sensitivity and understanding.

My work is integrative, meaning I draw on various therapeutic approaches to suit your unique needs. Central to my practice is the idea that therapy is a relational process—what happens between us is as important as what we discuss. I also pay close attention to how systemic, cultural, and societal factors may influence your life. Together, we’ll uncover patterns and narratives that may feel limiting, while fostering a deeper sense of self and authenticity.

Whether you are looking for short-term, focused therapy to address a specific issue or longer-term exploration of identity and personal growth, we will work together to create a space of trust, empathy, and mutual respect. My passion lies in helping clients make sense of their experiences, navigate challenges, and discover new ways to live with purpose and alignment.

Contact me for a free 30-minute consultation to discuss your concerns and see if we are a good fit for working together. Taking the first step can feel daunting, but you deserve a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood.

My Approach

I believe therapy should adapt to the unique needs of each individual. My integrative approach combines relational, developmental, and experiential methods to help you better understand yourself and navigate life’s challenges. Here are a few principles that guide my work:

•Relational Depth: The therapeutic relationship is the cornerstone of our work. Together, we’ll build a relationship of trust and mutual respect, where you feel safe to explore your emotions and experiences.

•Cultural Sensitivity: I honor and explore how your identity—whether shaped by race, gender, culture, or other factors—impacts your self-perception and life experiences. We’ll pay attention to systemic and societal influences while fostering self-acceptance and empowerment.

•Understanding the Past and Present: Together, we’ll explore how your history, relationships, and experiences have shaped your current patterns and struggles. At the same time, we’ll work on building tools to help you navigate the present.

•Flexibility and Collaboration: Therapy is a collaborative process where we’ll continually adapt to your goals, whether you’re looking for immediate relief or deeper self-discovery.

What to Expect

In therapy with me, you can expect a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space to explore your concerns. We’ll work collaboratively to identify your goals and the best way to approach them. Depending on your needs, therapy might involve:

•Exploring the roots of your challenges, such as early attachment experiences or relational patterns.

•Building tools to manage overwhelming emotions or unhelpful thought patterns.

•Developing greater self-compassion and resilience in the face of life’s difficulties.

•Navigating cultural and systemic influences on your identity and relationships.

•Exploring deeper questions about purpose, meaning, and authenticity.

Our work will be dynamic and evolving, tailored to your unique journey.

Taking the Next Step

If you’re ready to take the next step or want to explore whether therapy with me feels like the right fit, please reach out for a free 30-minute consultation. It’s important to feel comfortable with your therapist, and I’d be happy to answer any questions you might have.

You deserve a space where you feel seen, valued, and supported. Let’s work together to create that space for you.
