About me

** Monday sessions available**

During our time together, you will be given the time and space to work at your own pace. This space will be provided and strengthened by the work that we both put into the relationship.

Once we have established trust, we will explore your thoughts and feelings. We work together to help you discover how you have come to be where you are now. We will then work towards the life that you would like to build for yourself.

Together, by the end of our sessions, I believe you will feel more confident with a stronger sense of self belief in yourself.

Training, qualifications & experience

I began my journey of working with others in crisis within a children's home. I loved learning about development and how crucial attachment to others is.

This led me to go further and train to be a person centred counsellor by completing a Post Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling. This took me on a personal and professional journey that I am so grateful for.

I have had various counselling roles during and post training.

Working for a cancer charity counselling those who have cancer, have beaten cancer or who have been affected by a loved ones cancer.

I work within a school helping young people navigate the mine field that is puberty and high school. Alongside family issues, gender and sexuality exploration.

I have worked within a GP surgery and had generic placements. This means that I have worked with a variety of issues. Most if which are detailed in the list below.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
