About me

Hello, I’m Claire, a person-centred counsellor based in East Devon. My therapeutic practice is based around kindness and acceptance. I offer a welcoming, calm and non-judgemental space for us to work together to explore any difficult thoughts, feelings and behaviours you may be experiencing. I’m here to listen and walk alongside you with whatever difficulties you’re currently facing.

Whether it’s anxiety, grief, depression or stress and overwhelm, I can provide an empathetic and supportive relationship where you can be truly honest and open. Together we can find a way forward that is right for you. I believe that growth is always possible no matter how low or stuck you currently feel.

Training, qualifications & experience

I completed by Advanced Professional Diploma in Counselling in July 2025 and in addition to my private practice, I also work as a counsellor in a drug and alcohol recovery service. I have a very good understanding of addiction and its effects on mental health so I can help if this is something you or a loved one is struggling with.

Prior to becoming a counsellor, I worked in the criminal justice system on prisoner rehabilitation projects and homelessness prevention.
