About me

Hi, I'm Claire. If you're looking for a counsellor, perhaps you're living with anxiety, inner conflict, or low self-esteem, and are looking for ways to create a more fulfilling life. Perhaps you're facing challenges in your relationships or noticing recurring patterns that you don’t fully understand but want to change.

Together, we’ll explore the different layers of your experience to develop a deeper understanding of who you are and how you’ve come to be. This growing self-awareness can lead to richer, more fulfilling relationships - with yourself, with others, and with the world around you.

I offer a warm and non-judgmental space where you can speak freely and feel truly heard. I’ll walk alongside you for as long as you need, helping you navigate whatever is causing pain or uncertainty. All that you share is treated with the deepest respect and absolute confidentiality.

I have experience working with clients with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD and autism struggles, bereavement, trauma, relationship difficulties, addictions, eating disorders and body image struggles.

I work sensitively and respectfully with neurodivergent individuals, recognising that everyone’s experience is unique. As both the partner and parent of someone with ADHD and autism, I bring personal insight as well as professional experience to support those navigating similar dynamics.

I offer counselling in Winchester, Alresford or online.

Visit my website to learn more about my approach, and don’t hesitate to get in touch for an initial chat. I look forward to hearing from you.

Testimonials:

'Claire strikes a perfect balance between professionalism and kindness. She creates a space that feels calm, safe, and flexible. Her insight and ability to gently guide reflection made every session feel both calming yet productive.'

'I worked with Claire over a fairly long period and by the end would really look forward to our sessions collaboratively examining thoughts and feelings - overall this gave me a real sense of freedomI think it’s important to add that although we were often picking apart some serious themes and vulnerable experiences, there were many more smiles than I ever expected from counselling!'

'I really feel Claire’s sessions would be beneficial to anyone in some sort of way, and would encourage others to challenge themselves with Claire’s support in counselling.'

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
