About me
I am a warm, experienced psychologist and psychotherapist offering therapy for adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and periods of feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
You may be seeking therapy because life has recently become difficult, or because you have noticed longer-standing patterns in how you feel, relate to others, or cope with the demands placed on you. Whatever has brought you here, therapy can offer a calm, compassionate and confidential space to speak openly, make sense of your experiences, and begin to find a way forward.
My approach is integrative, drawing on CBT, relational and psychodynamic approaches. This means that, alongside easing immediate distress and developing practical ways of coping, we can also explore the deeper patterns that may be shaping your emotions, relationships and sense of self. Over time, this can help you develop greater self-understanding, more compassion for yourself, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.
My style is warm, thoughtful and empathic, while also gently challenging when this may support insight and change. I aim to help clients feel not only that they are coping better, but that they are living with greater clarity, confidence and emotional freedom.
Clients often share that therapy helps them to see their lives and relationships more clearly, feel less alone with their difficulties, and begin to thrive in ways they had not thought possible.
I work with adults aged 18 and above. If you would like to explore whether therapy with me feels right, please contact me to arrange a free 15-minute assessment call.
Training, qualifications & experience
I completed advanced professional training as a counselling psychologist across NHS, private and charity settings, and I continue to work clinically as a psychologist within private healthcare. This breadth of experience has shaped a careful, compassionate and evidence-informed approach to therapy.
Alongside my clinical work, I am an Assistant Professor in Psychology, where I teach and undertake research in mental health, counselling and psychotherapy. Alongside my academic work, I am an HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist and a Chartered Member of the British Psychological Society, with Divisional Membership of the Counselling Psychology Section. I am also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.
My academic and clinical work are closely connected. Teaching and researching in psychology means that my therapeutic practice is informed by current evidence, professional developments and a deep understanding of mental health, while remaining grounded in warmth, compassion and careful attention to each person’s individual experience.
I understand that coming to therapy can feel daunting, and it is completely natural to feel anxious, uncertain, or unsure about where to begin. My style is thoughtful, empathic and collaborative, and I aim to offer a relaxed, safe and welcoming space where you can speak openly and in confidence.
I have supported adults experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, loss, and periods of feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, drawing on relational, psychodynamic and CBT approaches. This allows us to work both with the immediate difficulties you are facing and with the deeper patterns that may be shaping your emotions, relationships and sense of self.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.

Additional information
I offer a 15-minute initial telephone consultation. This gives us a chance to briefly discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and consider whether working together feels like the right fit.
My fee is £100 per 50-minute session for individual therapy.
Sessions are usually held weekly, at the same time each week, although this can be discussed depending on your needs and availability.
I also work with private health insurance providers. Where therapy is funded through insurance, fees are charged in line with the agreed rate for your provider.
A limited number of reduced-fee spaces may be available depending on circumstances.
