Supervision details
I offer warm, reflective and collaborative supervision for trainee and qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, counselling psychologists and clinical psychologists.
My approach to supervision is integrative, drawing on relational, psychodynamic and CBT perspectives. I aim to provide a safe, thoughtful and supportive space where supervisees can reflect on their clinical work, develop confidence, think carefully about risk and ethics, and deepen their understanding of the therapeutic relationship.
I have experience working across NHS, private healthcare and charity settings, and currently work as a psychologist alongside my academic role in psychology, where I teach and research in mental health, counselling and psychotherapy. This means my supervision is informed by both clinical practice and current psychological research.
I particularly enjoy supporting trainees and early-career practitioners as they develop their therapeutic identity, but I also welcome qualified practitioners seeking reflective space, clinical consultation or ongoing professional development.
My style is supportive, thoughtful and gently challenging, with an emphasis on helping supervisees feel more confident, grounded and effective in their work.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
