About me
My practice is centred around acceptance of you as an individual. You will be provided with a safe space to be heard and validated without judgment, pressure, or expectation. I feel that my genuine approach and kind, warm nature positively impacts my relationships with clients which is essential for therapeutic success. Together, we will work to explore and understand what is happening beneath the surface, identify patterns, and make links between the past and the present. I believe that this is the key to building self-awareness and self-love.
Our sessions will be at your own pace and focused on what is important to you. You will be supported to find your own way forward when faced with adversity. Along the way, I will be there to assist you, whether that involves building resilience, setting boundaries, developing healthy coping strategies, or something else.
I offer face-to-face sessions from my office in Kidderminster, as well as online and phone sessions.
I use an integrative model which draws upon commonalities between cognitive-behavioural, humanistic and psychodynamic counselling approaches and allows me to tailor my work to meet the needs of each individual client. My approach is holistic, encompassing physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual aspects.
Over several years of clinical practice, I have worked with clients experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, and loss.
I believe that the relationship between you and your therapist is fundamental, therefore it is important that you feel we are a good match. For this reason, I offer a free 20-minute online call to give us the opportunity to meet each other and explore if counselling would be beneficial for you.

Training, qualifications & experience
I have a First-Class undergraduate degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselling. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. In addition, I have a vast amount of experience supporting both adults and children in a variety of therapeutic roles within BACP-accredited counselling services, EAP services, NHS primary care, charity and private healthcare services. Within these roles, I have completed a significant amount of further training, which I utilise within my practice. I am also fully insured.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
