About me
Counselling offers a safe, confidential space in your week - time that belongs entirely to
you. For 50 minutes, you’re invited to pause, breathe, and simply be yourself. I offer a space where you can talk openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement.
I am an integrative counsellor, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor each session to your unique needs. My work is rooted in humanistic and person-centred values - I believe that every person has an innate capacity for growth and self-understanding, and that counselling can help to uncover and nurture that potential.
Using an integrative approach allows me to adapt how we work together, choosing what may be most helpful for you at any given moment. I may draw on ideas from psychodynamic therapy, transactional analysis, existential therapy, or ecotherapy, always guided by your experiences and what feels right for you.
I aim to create a warm, inclusive environment where you can explore your inner world at your own pace. I offer face-to-face, online, and telephone counselling. My practice welcomes neurodivergent clients and celebrates individual differences - however you experience and make sense of the world, you are valued and accepted here.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I aim to abide by their ethical framework in all I do.
I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling, a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling, and a Level 2 Introduction to Counselling, all of which are courses approved by the BACP.
I hold a Certificate in Eco Therapy from Creative Counsellors, as well as a BA (Hons) Educational Studies with Drama (2:1) and PGCE (Primary Education).
As a registered member of the BACP, I am a reflective practitioner who takes part in regular s taking part in ongoing continued professional development (CPD) courses in a range of areas and have committed to undertake monthly supervision to ensure I am working safely and ethically.
I also undertake some charity work as a counsellor and attend regular case management as part of this role.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
