About me
Hi, my name is Charlotte, welcome to my page. I understand first-hand how daunting it may feel to be on this website searching for a therapist, whether it be your first, second or tenth! Finding the right therapist for you is the foundation of your counselling experience; therefore I offer a free 15 minutes telephone or video call for us to get to know each other better and see if we are a good fit.
Are you feeling overwhelmed with life at the moment and want someone to talk to? Finding it hard to understand and process your emotions? Do you struggle with body image? Do you have some unexplored and unresolved issues from the past? You are not alone. Together we can navigate our way through these uncomfortable emotions and develop techniques that will best help you in this difficult time.
I have supported clients with anxiety, depression, work related stresses, addiction, relationship struggles; I have experience working with neurodivergence, as well as having a personal interest in helping clients who have an unhealthy relationship with food and their body. I have completed additional training in Bariatric counselling (weight loss surgery) and work closely with the Centre for Bariatric support. I also have personal and professional experience with eating disorders. I, as an integrative counsellor, believe that counselling is a collaborative process where open communication between us is encouraged so we can develop a tailored approach, using techniques from different modalities so you get the most out of our sessions. I offer face to face sessions in Southend or online nationwide.
Counselling can be a vulnerable experience so it’s crucial for you to feel truly heard and for you to experience empathy, perhaps for the first time. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental and open space where you feel secure to explore all your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. If you feel that I may be the right fit for you, please contact me and I look forward to supporting you on this healing journey.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
