About me

I am an integrative qualified counsellor with 2 years’ experience. I believe that everyone has the potential to be the best version of themselves by working through any difficulties they might be facing. I believe you are the expert of your life, and I am here to facilitate your growth/changes. I use a person-centred approach to underpin our sessions, but I can also use other modalities so that you get the best experience from our sessions. I hope to create a safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore all your feelings and our sessions will always remain confidential.

I am passionate about helping people as I know how hard it can be when you feel that something isn’t quite right in your life and you’re trying to get to the root cause of your feelings. It can be challenging trying to navigate this when we might be in survival mode, especially if we have had traumatic experiences in our lives. I am passionate about helping people come out the other side. I believe our life experiences shape who we are and can have a negative impact on us at times, especially when society puts a lot of pressure on all of us to “be ok and carry on”. Therapy is about exploring uncomfortable feelings and reflecting on these and how it might be shaping your behavioural patterns or ways of relating to others for you to understand yourself on a deeper level and get to the person you want to be.

Currently I offer phone and online sessions for 18-year-olds and over. I offer 15-minute free consultation for us to see what you would like to work through. If you decide to book in for further sessions, they will be 50 minutes each time.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
