About me
There are points in life when most of us find ourselves lost, stuck or in search of 'something' - maybe something more or something less, or simply something different.
Are you looking to figure out your life direction, change negative habits, improve your relationships or develop self-esteem? Perhaps you're seeking to find better ways to cope with stress, anxiety, grief, depression or anger. You might be looking to explore unresolved trauma or loss.
There are many different reasons why so many of us seek counselling and psychotherapy and the first step is to find a professional with whom you feel comfortable.
I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, offering a confidential, warm and reflective space to help you gain insight into the issues that are affecting you. This may encompass more current, day-to-day life stressors or perhaps you are looking for support processing a specific life event, past or present.
I commonly work with clients experiencing: stress, grief, loss, anxiety, trauma (childhood and adult), depression, low mood, low motivation, low self-esteem, a sense of emptiness, relationship issues and identity confusion. I also see clients who are looking for personal growth and development, contentment or a sense of purpose.
I offer both long-term therapy and shorter-term counselling to adults from 18 years old, both face-to-face and online. I value keeping the therapy I offer as organic and client-centred as possible, whilst ensuring we have a joint vision of the clients hopes and goals to get the most out of our work together.
I offer a free 20 minute consultation for us to meet online, so we can discuss what you are looking for and see if we are a good fit.

Training, qualifications & experience
I trained for 6 years, 4 years with Metanoia Institute, and hold a diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I have been practicing for several years and am a member of the BACP. I am also completing a Masters in TA Psychotherapy, in my final year of advanced training as a psychotherapist and will be a qualified Psychotherapist in 2024.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information
It's important that you find a therapist you are comfortable and can connect with. I offer a 30 minute initial consultation, where we look at the reason/s why you're seeking counselling, any goals you might have for therapy and discuss any questions you may have for me.
If we decide to proceed, we will spend our first few sessions exploring your history, relevant life events and experiences and as we continue, we will start to identify the issues holding you back and establish your current goals for your therapy. Of course, these goals can be very broad (e.g. to feel happier) or much more specific (e.g. to find a job) and are invariably flexible and open to change as time goes on.
We will meet once a week in one of my offices or online. The number of sessions we have together will depend on many different things, including the issue/s you would like support with, your financial situation, the pace you are comfortable working at and the depth at which you would like to work.
