About me
Behind the feelings you can’t explain and the patterns you can’t seem to change is a story worth understanding
Sometimes life brings experiences that can be difficult to navigate alone. A loss, the end of a relationship or a significant life change can leave us feeling overwhelmed, low or unsure of what comes next. At other times, there may be no obvious reason for how we’re feeling, but we find ourselves anxious, stuck, disconnected or repeating familiar patterns we don’t fully understand.
How I work
I’ve always been curious about people and what makes us feel, think and relate in the ways that we do. I value taking the time to really understand the person sitting with me, rather than offering quick answers.
I work from a contemporary psychodynamic perspective. This means paying attention to what is happening in your life now, while also exploring how earlier experiences and relationships may be influencing the way you feel about yourself and relate to others today.
Sometimes, ways of coping that once helped us can begin to feel limiting. You might find yourself being particularly hard on yourself, feeling stuck in certain relationships or responding to situations in ways you don’t fully understand. Together, we can gently explore what may lie beneath these experiences, including thoughts and feelings that can be difficult to recognise or put into words.
Over time, we can begin to notice these patterns more clearly and make sense of where they may come from. With greater understanding, there can be more room for choice and for different ways of thinking, feeling and relating.
Areas of particular interest
I’m particularly drawn to working with people who feel stuck, anxious or overwhelmed, who are finding relationships challenging, have been affected by difficult or traumatic experiences, or are going through periods of change or loss.
I also have a particular interest in women’s experiences around fertility, pregnancy, miscarriage, motherhood and menopause, and in how these experiences can affect relationships, identity and our sense of ourselves.
Having lived in different countries myself, I understand that questions around identity and belonging can sometimes feel complex. This has shaped my interest in working with people who are navigating life between different cultures or countries.
Above all, I hope to offer a space where you can be yourself, speak openly about what is going on for you, and feel genuinely heard and understood.
I offer counselling for adults, with face-to-face sessions in St Albans and online sessions available across the UK and internationally.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
