About me

My area of specialism is helping you navigate, in practical ways, in the context of your unique life, where you are at when exhausted, anxious and feeling alone.

We all feel 'stuck' in life, at different times  and need help to find new ways where you can put boundaries in and learn how you can have good enough relationships, without giving so much (emotionally, practically, and mentally).

Is it hard for you to relax fully in your relationships? Do you feel guilty for expressing your needs and uncomfortable when others react without empathy or understanding of what's going on for you, right now ?

Sometimes, we need some space and help to navigate these familiar patterns and create a healthier balance.

My approach is gentle, reflective, and goal-focused, which is also informed by my background in coaching. We'll explore what works for you, your values, and your goals in the context of your current life, relational dynamics, and uncover what may be holding you back, without any blame.

I offer online and in-person sessions for adults, according to what feels most supportive to you. Please feel free to email me initially for a free, no-obligation 15-minute online consultation, where you can ask questions and see whether working together feels right for you. You can also call or leave a voicemail on 07799 885919 (reception with 02 is sometimes intermittent )

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BA (hons) in Counselling, validated by Roehampton University, and graduated in 2018, but have a diploma in counselling since 2015 and initially started training in counselling in 2006.

I have over eleven years’ professional experience, working in multicultural, differing settings and contexts.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
