About me

Whatever issues you bring, I believe in working with you as an individual person, to listen and understand non-judgmentally and together help to bring you some clarity and work through things to help you be the person you really are and lesson some anxious feelings. I offer a special rate for the first two sessions to give you a chance to see if counselling is right for you and help you decide if you would like short term or ongoing sessions, regularly reviewed every 6 weeks. I also offer affordable rates for people on any low income or studying.

I have experience in a wide range of areas - depression and anxiety, complex bereavement and long-term illnesses, carer issues and specialist experience of working with younger people. In addition, I have experience of supporting people with eating disorders, self-harm, abusive or dysfunctional families and having suicidal thoughts.

I have worked in social and emotional support services for over 15 years. BACP Registered Counsellor in the Psychodynamic model. I draw upon a range of techniques to fit what is going to be best for each client to make progress including Integrative models, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis.

I believe in working collaboratively and relationally with the client and maintaining a high ethical standard. I am continuing my own professional development to ensure I always keep up to date with current methods and research. Currently, I am studying an Advanced Diploma at The Welsh Psychotherapy Partnership in Integrative Psychotherapy. This is an accredited additional training under UKCP.
