About me

Sometimes life can feel like a treadmill. Or perhaps you appear generally ok on the outside, but something doesn’t feel quite right. Maybe you feel stuck, anxious, lonely or hopeless. Perhaps you need time, space and another perspective to work things out. If you’d like to make a change, but aren’t sure how or where to start, I can help.

✴ There's a 50% discount on the first session so you can get a feel for how I work and what therapy is like.

My clients come from a range of different backgrounds and have sought counselling for a wide variety of reasons.  I work with people who may be depressed, anxious or otherwise feeling sad. They may have relationship, self-esteem or confidence challenges, or may be struggling with a life transition or identity issue.

As a counsellor, I firmly believe that you write your own life story. Sometimes, though, it can feel hard to face things on your own or make sense of the challenges life can present.  This is where counselling can help.  For me, the most rewarding part of what I do is seeing how counselling can transform someone’s world.

My main way of working is person-centred, although I am also able to use a range of techniques and approaches. Some examples include coaching, transactional analysis and mindfulness techniques.

My private practice is in Urmston (M41); however, I do also see clients via Zoom or by phone. I also offer walk-and-talk therapy in the Trafford area. Please contact me for details about the measures I take to ensure in-person sessions are secure in terms of Covid-19.

I appreciate taking the first step and making contact with a counsellor can be daunting.  It’s natural to feel uncomfortable or hesitant.  You may have additional questions and I am happy to have a chat with you.

🏳️‍🌈 I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative counsellor.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
