About me

I'm a person-centred counsellor which means I work with you and your issues to help you feel the way you wish you felt.  I work with you for as long and as often as it takes; you decide how many sessions you want or need and when it's right for you to stop.

I work with your emotions to establish what drives you to behave and think the way you do, and to help you overcome the reasons you haven't already been able to make the changes you want to make. I do not judge so you never need to be embarrassed or worried about telling me anything, however shocking or dreadful you might feel it is (or that other people have told you it is).

With me, you're also not constrained to the traditional 50 minutes. I offer hour, 90 minute and two hour sessions. You can book online via my website at https://www.magichandscalmminds.co.uk/prices-and-book/.

I offer appointments up to 7pm on weekdays and work both in person and online.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Emotional Therapeutic Counselling and a certificate in cognitive behavioural therapy. I'm also trained in CBT for insomnia and am a Reiki practitioner and Bowen therapist, so if you have physical issues as well as emotional ones, or if you want something physically relaxing alongside your counselling, I can do that too.

I have been in private practice since 2018 and have worked with a wide variety of issues including disordered eating, OCD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, inappropriate anger and relationship problems.

I'm also a qualified clinical supervisor and a registered STOPSO therapist, and train other emotional therapeutic counsellors.
