About me

I am a qualified and accredited integrative counsellor based in Wolverhampton, England. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Code of Ethics.

Areas of Focus: I work with individuals experiencing a range of psychological issues, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, loss, guilt, pain, and suicidal ideation or self-harm. I also have experience working with abuse, trauma, self-esteem issues, and domestic abuse.

Practice Style: I aim to provide a caring, sensitive, and professional attitude, creating a compassionate and empathetic space for clients to explore their challenges. I offer both short-term and long-term therapy.

First Session: The initial session is an opportunity to meet (currently remotely via phone or Zoom), for introductions, a brief assessment, discussing the terms of service, and for the client to share their story and the issues they are facing.

Training, qualifications & experience

Therapeutic Approaches: I am trained in Integrative Therapy and utilise Person-Centred Approach, Gestalt, Psychodynamic, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in my practice. I also offer Brief therapy, CBT, Cognitive, Humanistic, Narrative therapy, Relational, and Solution-focused brief therapy.

Experience: I have over 10 years of supervised clinical practice. I have experience working with individuals, groups, and young people. I have worked with vulnerable people for sixteen years.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
