About me
What truly sets me apart is that I’ve been on both sides of the therapy couch. I know what it’s like to wake up with a racing mind, overwhelmed by the thought of facing the day. I know the loneliness of feeling invisible even when surrounded by people. I know the weight of intrusive thoughts and the relentless exhaustion of carrying childhood wounds into adult life. I’ve experienced intensive therapy for anxiety and trauma, and I’ve come through it. This means that when I sit with you, I’m not just relying on textbooks or clinical theory. I meet you with real understanding and absolutely no judgment. I get it, because I’ve lived it!
I specialise in evidence-based therapy for anxiety, trauma and complex mental health challenges. Drawing from CBT, humanistic, and psychodynamic approaches, I create bespoke sessions to suit your unique needs. I offer a warm, grounded space where we can explore what’s holding you back and work together toward meaningful, lasting change.
Whatever you're going through, you don’t have to face it alone. Reaching out can feel daunting, but it’s a strong first step toward change. I’ll meet you with compassion, not judgment, and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you. If you’re ready to begin making sense of things, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Alongside this personal journey, I bring over 15 years of professional experience in the caring sector. I've worked across a wide range of roles from support worker to supervisor, structured clinical management practitioner, CBT therapist, and now counselling psychologist in doctoral training. I’m accredited in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with the BABCP and have trained extensively in models including DBT, Theraplay, couples therapy, group therapy, humanistic (person-centred) approaches, and psychodynamic therapy.
Professionally, I’ve spent more than a decade supporting children and adolescents facing developmental trauma, and over five years working with adults presenting with high-risk challenges such as psychosis. I currently work for the NHS as a CBT therapist and previously held responsibility for maintaining the personality disorder pathway, ensuring that complex and vulnerable individuals received the care they needed. I’m also in the final year of a doctorate in Counselling Psychology, constantly deepening and sharpening my clinical understanding.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a lifelong martial artist: a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt with over 20 years of experience, multiple national and international titles, and an amateur world championship in Muay Thai kickboxing. This background instilled a deep discipline, resilience, and perseverance that naturally flows into my therapeutic style: a blend of patience, strength, and support, helping you move steadily towards change.
If you're looking for a therapist who combines academic excellence with lived experience, someone who truly gets both the struggle and the strength it takes to heal, you’re in the right place.
