About me

I'm a person-centred counsellor offering individual therapy for adults, in person in St Leonards-on-Sea or online. I know how hard it is to feel stuck, hopeless, worried or depressed, and I believe we all need to feel heard and witnessed in our struggles. I offer a warm, compassionate space to listen to whatever you're going through. I'm not here to fix you, but to walk alongside you as you find your own way forward.

You don't need to work things out alone. Together we can explore what you need and what's holding you back from feeling more ease in your life. Therapy can also be a place to reconnect with joy, passion and humour, not only to face life's challenges.

I'm LGBTQ+ affirming and welcome clients of all genders, sexualities and relationship styles, including those who are kink-practising or in ethically non-monogamous relationships. This is a space for you, as you are.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I've undertaken further training in neurodiversity, supporting adult carers, chronic illness, bereavement, difference and diversity, anti-oppressive practice, addiction, and gender, sexuality and relationship diversity.

Since 2025 I've practised at The Old Bank, a community counselling practice in Hampden Park, supporting people through anxiety, depression, grief and loss, anger, addiction, relationship breakdown, life transitions, domestic abuse, loneliness, shame, low self-esteem, and difficulties with attachment and belonging.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I offer a free 15-minute initial phone consultation, a chance to discuss what's bringing you to counselling, ask questions about how I work, and decide whether I'm the right fit for you. Sessions are guided by you; I won't bring an agenda, and we'll always go at your pace. If you'd like, we can also experiment with drawing or working with objects as an alternative to talking, which can help explore emotions or difficult issues when words feel hard.
