About me
As well as my usual practice, from June to August this summer I’m offering short-term psychotherapy — an intentional, focused approach designed to fit within a contained time frame. This is an ideal opportunity to explore a specific issue, to gain clarity or build coping strategies, in a supportive space without the commitment of ongoing therapy. This structure encourages momentum and purpose, often leading to meaningful insights and change in a short period. Whether you're navigating a transition, feeling stuck on something or just curious about therapy, this could be a valuable way to invest in yourself.
Book a free introductory conversation using the button above — a good starting point that will give you an idea of what working with me could feel like. We can also discuss your needs (number of sessions and fees).
Why have therapy?
Maybe something doesn't feel right. Perhaps you wonder why you think and behave in certain ways, or reapeat patterns that aren't great for you. Maybe you'd like to understand the relationships in your life.
Whatever the reason, therapy can help you process events, find balance, face challenges, or instigate change. It's somewhere you can explore what's going on for you in a private and tranquil space.
I follow a traditional talk therapy model, where sessions feel like a conversation — you lead where the discussion goes and I follow, offering interpretations, insights and different perspectives. We work together to understand your situation and facilitate positive change by:
- Connecting events from the past to the present
- Looking at things from different perspectives, and
- Addressing the parts of your life where you feel stuck
I have particular experience with:
- Grief and loss
- Identity: including gender and sexuality
- Relationships: including relationship to self, family, non-monogamy, polyamory and kink
- Anxiety, stress, depression and depressive episodes
- The decision to have – or not have – a family including infertility, assisted fertility, adoption and surrogacy
- Processing or considering an autism / ADHD diagnosis
- Trauma and adverse early life experiences
I welcome enquiries for these, or any other challenge you might be facing.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
