About us
🌿 Welcome to Calm Mind
Hi, I’m Ann.
I offer a compassionate, down-to-earth space where emotional healing is supported with clarity, respect, and care. My integrated approach draws on a range of therapeutic models—including attachment-informed, trauma-sensitive, and strengths-based practices—tailored to meet your unique needs.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, low mood, relationship challenges, or the emotional impact of chronic pain, I’ll work alongside you to reconnect with what matters and move toward a life shaped by your values. Together, we’ll explore patterns, build insight, and gently strengthen your emotional resilience.
I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent clients, especially those who identify as autistic or experience sensory sensitivities. I adapt language, pace, and materials to ensure therapy feels accessible, affirming, and emotionally safe.
I support clients to explore early relational experiences, reframe core beliefs, and build self-compassion. Whether you're seeking short-term support or deeper, long-term work, sessions are collaborative and paced to suit you.
With a rich background in mental health, trauma-informed care, and organisational governance, I bring a thoughtful, ethical lens to every session. Therapy with me is grounded, flexible, and always centred on your wellbeing
How I Work
Therapy isn’t about “fixing” you—it’s about reclaiming your narrative, processing difficult emotions, and cultivating self-compassion. I integrate evidence-based strategies with a strong emphasis on emotional safety and client autonomy.
Together, we’ll work to:
• Regulate Emotions
Understand and manage anxiety, anger, grief, or overwhelm with grounded, compassionate tools.
• Live by Your Values
Prioritise what truly matters—beyond roles, pressures, or expectations.
• Reclaim Your Story
Move beyond the weight of pain, trauma, or loss by reconnecting with your strengths and identity.
• Engage with Clarity
Feel supported by a therapeutic process that is transparent, inclusive, and welcoming.
Services Offered
• One-to-one counselling (in person or online)
or Rewind Therapy
What is Rewind Therapy?
Rewind Therapy is a visual–kinaesthetic dissociation technique, meaning it allows someone to view a traumatic memory as if watching a film, without being overwhelmed by the emotional impact. This helps the brain reprocess the memory so it no longer triggers the same level of fear, panic, or distress.
• Support for anxiety, depression, grief, and chronic pain
• Psychoeducation and emotional resilience strategies
• Safeguarding-informed, ethically grounded practice

Member organisations *
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Rewind Therapy
If you’re living with the after-effects of a difficult or traumatic experience, you may find that certain memories still feel vivid, intrusive, or emotionally overwhelming. Rewind Therapy offers a calm, non-intrusive way to reduce the distress attached to those memories—without needing to retell the details.
At Calm Minds, I offer Rewind Therapy as a focused, evidence-informed technique that helps your brain reprocess traumatic events safely and at your own pace.
