About me

There is only one corner of the universe you can be sure of improving: yourself - Huxley.

By providing you with the time and space to understand yourself, I can support you in making better decisions and enjoying improved relationships so that you can curate the life you want by creating sustainable, lasting changes.

As an integrative counsellor, I combine narrative therapy and somatic approaches. This means I holistically work with you, engaging the relationship between your mind, body, and behaviour. I use psychotherapy and solution-focused therapy to explore surface-level and deeper-rooted issues that get in the way of being the best version of yourself. Together we can explore any psychological barriers that may prevent you from achieving what you want to have happen.

When we are listened to, it creates us, makes us unfold and expand -Menninger.

By providing you with a supportive space to talk candidly about those things you don't fully understand or feel unable to change, you, too, will be able to gain new perspectives and feel a sense of harmonisation and development.

My experience includes supporting neurotypical and neurodiverse adults and adolescents. Working through the impact of the challenges often imposed by societal norms that manifest in depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive behaviours and relationship difficulties.

What happens next?

I offer an initial twenty-minute complimentary phone call to learn more about what areas of support you are looking for and discuss any questions about counselling.

Finding the right therapist can be challenging and daunting, so having this chat helps you see if you feel comfortable talking with me and learning more about how I work.

How many sessions will I need?

I offer both time-limited sessions and longer-term therapy. Depending on your needs, short-term therapy runs between six to twelve weeks weekly. Longer-term work is ongoing weekly. You decide how long you wish to continue.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
