About me
‘Life can feel overwhelming but you don’t have to face it alone’
There are times when anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, past experiences or overwhelming emotions can leave you feeling stuck, exhausted or disconnected from yourself. Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, but it can also be the beginning of lasting positive change.
As a qualified and experienced psychotherapist and counsellor, registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), I provide a safe, confidential and compassionate space where you can talk openly without fear of judgement.
I work with adolescents and adults, supporting people through a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including:
• Anxiety and panic
• Depression and low mood
• Low self-esteem and confidence
• Stress and burnout
• Relationship and family difficulties
• Trauma and childhood experiences
• Emotional, physical and sexual abuse
• Self-harm
• Grief and loss
• Intergenerational trauma
• Feeling lost, overwhelmed or emotionally stuck
My approach is integrative, combining psychodynamic and humanistic therapy to suit your individual needs. Rather than offering a “one-size-fits-all” approach, I tailor therapy to your unique experiences, personality and goals.
Together, we can explore the underlying causes of your difficulties, increase self-awareness, strengthen emotional resilience and develop healthier ways of coping. Many clients find that understanding themselves more deeply helps them build more fulfilling relationships, greater confidence and a stronger sense of wellbeing.
I believe that the relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important factors in successful therapy. I aim to create a warm, genuine and trusting environment where you feel heard, accepted and supported throughout your journey.
Whether you’re experiencing a difficult period in life or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
I offer a free 10-minute introductory video call, giving us the opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, answer any questions you may have and explore whether we’re the right fit to work together.
‘Taking the first step can feel daunting but you don’t have to take it on your own’.
Training, qualifications & experience
I believe that our experiences shape who we are, but they don’t have to define who we become. Whether you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns or carrying the weight of past experiences, therapy can offer a safe space to understand yourself more deeply and create meaningful, lasting change.
Every person is unique, which is why I believe therapy should be tailored to you rather than following a single approach. As an integrative therapist, I combine psychodynamic and person-centred therapy, drawing on the strengths of each to meet your individual needs and goals.
The psychodynamic approach helps us explore how past experiences, early relationships and unconscious patterns may be influencing your thoughts, emotions and relationships today. By gaining a deeper understanding of these patterns, you can begin to make sense of your experiences and create lasting change.
Alongside this, my person-centred approach offers a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you are accepted as you are. I believe that feeling genuinely heard and understood is at the heart of meaningful therapeutic change, allowing you to explore your experiences safely and at your own pace.
Where appropriate, I also draw on CBT-informed techniques, motivational interviewing and trauma-informed grounding and emotional regulation strategies to support you in developing practical coping skills and building resilience. My aim is always to adapt therapy to what feels most helpful for you, recognising that no single approach suits everyone.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I completed a Master’s degree in Business Psychology, which gave me a broader understanding of human behaviour, motivation and the psychological factors that influence wellbeing, relationships and personal growth. I continue to develop my knowledge through ongoing professional training to ensure my practice remains ethical, evidence-informed and responsive to the needs of my clients.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
