About me
What I understand about you
It can be really hard asking for help, especially if you’re used to being the capable one. The one who holds it together. The one who puts everyone else first.
Maybe you look like you’re coping, but inside you’re overthinking, doubting yourself, replaying conversations or wondering why relationships feel harder than they should.
It’s exhausting trying to do it all alone. And you don’t have to.
How I can help
Many of my clients struggle to take up space. They prioritise everyone else’s needs and feel guilty when they try to honour their own.
Perhaps you were never shown that your feelings mattered, or that you were allowed to need things too.
Together, we gently explore where those patterns began. Using compassion-focused and creative approaches, we build a safer relationship with yourself - so you can speak up without spiralling, feel more at ease in your own skin and stop turning against yourself when life feels hard.
How we might work well together
You may be thoughtful, sensitive and tired of repeating the same emotional patterns. You might blame yourself more than you blame anyone else.
I work in a warm, grounded way - patient, compassionate and gently challenging when needed.
If something here resonates, I’d welcome the chance to explore whether working together feels right for you. You can get in touch with me via the enquiry form on here or on my website, and we can arrange a free introductory call to see if we’re a good fit.
Thank you for being here.
Training, qualifications & experience
I qualified with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Roehampton, and also hold a BA(Hons), MA and my level 2 and 3 in Counselling Skills and Studies from CPCAB. Before I started my private therapy practice, I began my clinical work at a charity supporting women with mental health difficulties, and in a further education college offering counselling to students. I’m a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. This means I’m on a Register that has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. My membership number is 398302.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
