About me

Are you or your child struggling with anxiety, overwhelm, or emotional difficulties?

I'm a qualified integrative counsellor offering counselling for children (11+), teenagers, and adults of all ages. I provide a calm, supportive space where you can explore anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, and life challenges at your own pace.

I work in a person-centred, integrative way, meaning our sessions are shaped around you and what you need. I have a particular interest in supporting children and young people, as well as neurodivergent clients, including those who are (including self diagnosed) autistic or have ADHD.

For children and teens, I offer creative approaches such as drawing, storytelling, and visual tools, which can help when talking feels difficult. For adults, I offer a reflective, collaborative space to explore thoughts, feelings, and patterns, supporting greater self-understanding and emotional wellbeing.

I aim to provide a neurodiverse-affirming space that is flexible, respectful, and free from judgement.

I offer in-person, online, and home visits for those unable to leave their home.

My sessions are 50-60 minutes, and weekly, but this can be reviewed if circumstances change.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling from Iron Mill College, Exeter.

I am a registered member of the BACP.

I have over 15 years experience working with children, young people, and adults across a range of settings, including educational, organisational, and therapeutic settings.

I have been working as a college counsellor since 2024, supporting students (including adults)with a range of emotional and psychological difficulties including anxiety, stress, low mood, self-esteem, OCD, sexual and domestic abuse, self-harm, suicidal ideation, navigating identity, autism and ADHD, and challenges related to education and transition into adulthood.

Since 2025, I have also been working with adults through a charity setting. This role as involved supporting clients facing complex life circumstances, including experiences of trauma, loss, isolation, and ongoing life stressors.

Alongside my counselling roles, I have amassed over 15 years experience in teaching, mentoring and tutoring. These roles have strengthened my ability to build trusting relationships, adapt communication styles, and support individuals with diverse needs.

I am committed to ongoing professional development, with a particular interest in neurodiversity-affirming practice, including autism and ADHD.

I work within the BACP Ethical Framework and attend regular clinical supervision to ensure safe and ethical practice.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I understand that starting counselling can feel like a big step, especially if you're unsure what to expect.

I offer an initial session where we can think together about what's bringing you to counselling, what support might feel helpful, and what to expect from counselling and how I work. It is a chance for you to decide if counselling is right for you, or if I am the right counsellor - it is a no-obligation session.

I aim to create a space where you feel heard, accepted, and able to be yourself, whether that's through talking or more creative ways of expressing your experience.

If you are a parent seeking support for your child or teenager, I'm happy to discuss how counselling works and answer any questions before arranging a first session.
