About me

My Counselling Approach

As a pluralist counsellor, I firmly believe that you are the expert in your journey and life experience. My approach revolves around understanding you, your needs, and your goals. Together, we will set meaningful objectives and explore various approaches to find the one that suits you best.

I am compassionate, person-centred, and dedicated to making you feel at ease. Creating a comfortable environment where you can openly share your story is paramount. I strive to provide a non-judgemental, valuing space where respect and acceptance are foundational elements.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals facing:

  • Loss and bereavement
  • Relationship issues
  • Childhood trauma and adverse childhood experiences impacting adult life
  • Depression
  • Low self-esteem
  • Anxiety
  • Separation and divorce
  • Bullying and its effects in adulthood
  • Body image concerns, shame, and guilt

Grounded in years of experience and a rich tapestry of life, I am committed to supporting individuals in living their best life possible. I value feedback and use simple tools to invite you to share your thoughts, allowing me to continuously improve my approach to better suit your needs. In our collaborative process, your voice is essential, and I am here to walk alongside you on your path to personal growth and well-being.

I offer a complimentary initial half-hour session, preferably conducted online, though I am flexible to meet your needs. Should you choose to continue, I will provide the necessary paperwork and additional information before the first paid session. I will be collaborative and Work at your giving you unconditional positive regard

I offer a compassionate and non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. My approach is integrative, drawing on various therapeutic modalities to offer a personalized and effective counselling experience. Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
