About me

Thank you for taking the time to consider my profile. I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist who offers a warm, emphatic and confidential service for adults and couples experiencing a broad range of issues and psychological difficulties. I am fully insured, registered with the Health & Care Professions Council and Chartered by the British Psychological Society. I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London and have been working in the field of mental health since 2006 both in the NHS and private sector. I currently work as a Clinical and Academic Tutor, helping train the next generation of Clinical Psychologists, alongside my private practice.

There are many reasons why people turn to talking therapy for support. You may be struggling with life changes, work stress, bereavements or losses; or perhaps you are confronting problems such as depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, phobias, relationship difficulties, or living with a long term illness. Whatever your concern you can expect a to receive a warm, compassionate, honest, genuine and professional response from me at all times.

There are many types of therapist out there and it can be confusing deciding on who to trust with your most personal concerns. As a Clinical Psychologist I have received among the best training in mental health difficulties available in the UK and the term "psychologist" is the only talking therapist title protected in law in order to ensure that only the highest standards of practice are maintained. By meeting with a psychologist you can be assured that the support and care you receive is exceptional.

Similarly, in terms of therapies there a dizzying array of therapies out there, but only a core group that are underpinned by scientific evidence. As a result of my training and experience and as a matter of professional and ethical values I only practice using evidence-based, NICE approved therapies. That means you will only receive treatment that has been proven to be effective and delivered by an expert in the field.

I offer appointments on Mondays and Tuesdays daytime and evenings in a dedicated consulting room in the Meads area of Eastbourne with good parking and excellent bus links. I also offer online therapy via Zoom.
