About me
I am a qualified integrative counsellor and psychotherapist providing deep and meaningful therapy for adult individuals aged 25+, professionals, entrepreneurs, creatives and trainee therapists. I have a legal background and over 20 years experience working in the social enterprise space and over 10 years as a non-executive for a financial services institution.
I offer counselling to address short-term work which tends to be solution focused around current issues to develop coping strategies. I also provide psychotherapy which usually involves longer term work, exploring deeper, long emotional difficulties and behaviour patterns which often work with our unconscious processes.
I have extensive experience working remotely with NHS talk therapy and hold a BACP certificate in online and telephone counselling.
Other client presentations I work with have included high levels of anxiety, burnout, relationship and identity issues, imposter syndrome, life changing events, grief and loss. I provide an inclusive and culturally competent approach to clients from different backgrounds, which includes considering the psychological impact of race and culture in their lived experiences. I also give space to clients wishing to reflect on their faith and spirituality.
During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter which often include, new ways of thinking, self-compassion, authenticity and emotional resilience.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered member of BACP and adhere to their ethical code which states I will always work in the best interest of the client. I work with a psychodynamic modality and adopt an integrative approach tailored to meet individual needs often utilising other interventions such as gestalt, person centred, existential and solution focused based therapy. My services are also provided to NHS-Wandsworth Talk therapy which provides a diverse clinical setting addressing the clients psychological, social, physical and spiritual outlook on life and their place in the world. The treatment is a holistic approach embracing the clients unique needs and circumstances which often lead to healing, growth and change.
I am fully insured and attend clinical supervision in accordance with best practice. I undertake ongoing training through CPD courses and workshops which have included working with anxiety and depression, difference and diversity, guilt and shame, bereavement and loss, race, culture competency and trauma.
I have a legal background and over 20 years experience working in the social enterprise space and over 10 years as a non-executive director for a financial services institution.
Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My approach is about understanding root causes shaping your emotions and relationships. We are the sum of all that we have experienced and sometimes events in our past leave their emotional imprint on our present circumstances.
Through a safe reflective space, we will spend time exploring your thoughts, feelings and physical experiences, helping you develop a stronger sense of self. I strongly believe that the client-therapist relationship plays an integral part in the therapeutic process allowing you to feel seen, heard and understood.
