About me
Maybe you're someone who holds things together well on the outside — at work, for your family, in life generally — but privately something isn't right. Or maybe things have got on top of you and you're not sure where to start. Either way, you don't need to have it figured out before getting in touch.
I'm a humanistic, person-centred counsellor and psychotherapist, I've been in practice since 2012 and hold a First Class Honours degree in Humanistic Counselling Practice from the University of Nottingham. I work with adults, young people, children, couples and families — face to face or online across the UK and internationally.
I'm direct, honest and I don't do jargon. I also don't do one size fits all. The work starts from exactly where you are — whatever you're carrying, whatever's brought you here — and we go from there together. Some people want short-term, focused work. Others need longer. I'm comfortable with both.
I have extensive experience across a wide range of settings — schools, hospices, crisis support, the voluntary sector, and private practice — and I hold an up-to-date Enhanced DBS and safeguarding qualifications.
Sessions are £70. I offer a free initial conversation so we can decide together whether this is the right fit.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I offer a free initial conversation - no obligation, no pressure. It's a chance for us both to ask questions and work out whether this is the right fit. If it isn't, I'll tell you honestly, and I'll do what I can to point you in a better direction.
Before our first session I'll ask for some basic personal details to set up a secure, GDPR-compliant record.
