About me
Hi, I’m Adam. I'm a UKCP registered psychotherapist with a practice in Ealing, West London. I offer a warm, caring, and confidential space for you to explore whatever might be troubling you.
I will help you make sense of your unique experience of the world, whether it be struggles with anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma or other issues. As well as supporting you through difficulty or distress, we can also explore and build on the ways you find contentment, joy and happiness in your life.
My psychotherapy training was in Gestalt psychotherapy, a holistic practice, that sees the mind, body and emotions as parts of the same whole. I focus on raising awareness, sitting together with what is, and working creatively to explore transformation and change.
If you are interested in becoming a client, I offer an initial, free 15-minute phone call so you can get a feel for whether we might work well together. Please do get in touch by email and we can arrange a time.
Training, qualifications & experience
- MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute, London
- Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy from Metanoia Institute.
I have been working in clinical, therapeutic settings since 2020.
As well as my private practice, I have been a therapist for several low cost counselling & psychotherapy services in West London, supporting people with diverse needs from struggles with addiction, early life trauma, eating disorders, anxiety and depression. I also volunteered at mental health charity, CAPE, working with individuals with enduring mental health issues, such as complex PTSD, psychosis and EUPD.
Before becoming a therapist, I had a career for over 20 years in Film and TV, so have an in depth experience of working in a collaborative, creative and at times pressured environment.
I use this experience, alongside my clinical practice, to support resilience and growth in my clients.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
