Frances Weston MBACP (Accred) - Counselling/Psychotherapy For Adults & Children
01335 300996 / 07721 674078
Welcome to Brighter Futures Personal Growth. I see adults and children from all over Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Cheshire and beyond, and have been working as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist for almost 25 years - both in the NHS and private practice.
My business premises, Sunshine Barn, is a suite of beautiful, private, non-clinical rooms in converted farm outbuildings near Ashbourne. I have a dedicated adults' room, a fully-equipped play therapy room, a waiting room, a treatment room for complementary therapies, toilets, kitchen and large training/group therapy room. The rooms are fully accessible, and look out onto our private paddock and offer easy access to nature and animals.
I offer a discreet and highly confidential service, and high profile clients including those in the public eye can be offered exclusive use of Sunshine Barn by special arrangement if they wish.
I work with clients on a short or long term basis, and integrate a number of different approaches, based on each person's needs, including coaching, NLP, ecotherapy and so on. I see individuals, couples, and families as well as offering a specialist child counselling service.
I am a fully qualified Level 3 Advanced EFT (tapping) practitioner. I am insured and hold enhanced DBS certification.
In my specialist work with children, I offer the option of Animal Assisted Therapy with my dog, Tilly (as featured in 'Psychologies' Magazine, March 2008; Staffordshire Life, July 2008; and BACP'S Counselling Children and Young People, March 2010)
Until recently I wrote a regular column for The British Journal of School Nursing entitled 'Counsellor's Casebook' and was a member of their Editorial Board for several years. I have been interviewed on BBC Radio Derby a number of times, and my work has been featured in several magazines and newspapers.
Together with my associates, I offer:

- Play Therapy
- Animal Assisted Therapy
